We have a lot of books cycling through our home and recently I noticed that many of the covers featured some really interesting and creative photography. I thought it would be fun for us to get our creative juices flowing and apply them to the genre. So, Thursday January 18, we'd love to see as many members as possible bring in examples to share.
Feel free to use well known titles from literature that might suit images you have or that inspire you to take a supporting picture . . .The Grapes of Wrath, On the Road, The Portrait of a Lady, etc. are examples. Or take a look at images you have and come up with your own titles that suit them. Go wild, have fun with the titles and be creative with the font choices and presentation.

Mike’s astrophotography presentation will touch on the 3 primary types of astrophotography but will focus in on single exposure wide angle landscapes. Discussed will be recommended gear and settings, checklists and planning which will provide a solid foundation for not only dark sky images, but long exposure photography in general. The presentation will be packed with tons of images and a few stories along the way.”
Our annual General Meeting, elections and a Guest Speaker - Tim Story will be presenting"Succeeding at Wildlife Photography"
“Photography In Your Right Mind” is a presentation about exploring the unique properties of the human mind that relate to photography. It considers methods of establishing a Right Brain presence to improve the creative aspects of Photography. It is based on a book by Betty Edwards, “Drawing on The Right Side of the Brain”, in which she teaches people to draw by using Right Brain techniques. The Presentation adapts these creative processes to apply to Photography using straight forward techniques along with several photographic images to illustrate the suggested approach.
