Guest Speaker: Spencer Wynn, AGB + Zoom, 7:15pm
Mar 25 @ 7:15 pm – 8:45 pm

Hello, Latow Photography Guild members, I am excited to come and speak with you. I will be sharing my love of landscape photography and how we are missing huge opportunities after the blue hour has gone and daylight turns to night.

The night is a perfect time to photograph landscapes and skies slowly, deliberately and creatively. With a bit of knowledge, some post-processing skills and if possible, a star tracker, you can create stunning images while others are sleeping!

I will have many images and stories to show you and some process images that will make the final images make sense!

With just a small flashlight, you can light everything from a small irrigation pump to a huge grain silo location. All it takes is a bit an idea, a vision and fun putting the puzzle pieces together into a nighttime masterpiece!

The presentation will be live, in-person at the AGB. Participation through Zoom will also be available. Start time is 7:15pm.

Annual General Meeting, AGB 7:15pm: Elections Plus Guest Speaker Dave Conlon
Apr 29 @ 7:15 pm – 9:00 pm

Meeting is "In-person Only"

Following a brief report from the Board Executive (please take note President Annette!!) and the election (acclamation?!) of next year's Board, new member Dave Conlon will give his presention Anyox, BC – Travelling to Canada’s Largest Ghost Town (which he just recently presented to CAPA!).

Anyox, British Columbia is a true ghost town with a rich, hidden history. Once a bustling mining hub in the early 1900s, Anyox was abandoned in 1935 after a devastating fire and the Great Depression which drove down the demand for copper. Today, Anyox is a relic of the past, with crumbling buildings and rusted machinery frozen in time.
In May of 2024, Dave Conlon of Freaktography.com travelled across the country and visited Anyox with full, unlimited access to capture and photograph what is left of this forgotten piece of Canadian history.
