All members in good standing are welcome. If you are interested in attending, please email Sonya de Laat at silverhalides@gmail.com for the Zoom invitation.
The Program Committee invites all guild members to a meeting to contribute program ideas for the 2024-25 year. We hope to get suggestions for guest speakers (and whether there is a demand for more of them), presentations by members (eg Humanitarian Photography), and even new short series (eg. Outside the Box, Story-telling). We will also seek more of a consensus on in-person vs. Zoom meetings. This is your chance to have a positive influence on the shape of things next year.
Opening Evening - Welcome Back!
This will be an opportunity for getting reacquainted with camera club buddies, hearing about programming highlights for the upcoming year and members sharing images on "My Summer" (max 5 minutes).
Hosted by Sonya de Laat and James Elliott.
The social component of the evening starts a 7pm (coffee/tea & cookies will be available!) with presentations starting at 7:30. This is a hybrid meeting, in-person and over Zoom (Zoom participants to supply their own tea & cookies).
Mark Emmerson, Coordinator.
New Exposures is a friendly critique group to provide you feedback about your images. Members at all levels are welcome to bring/send images and to contribute their views.
Members bring 1 or 2 projected and (occasionally) print images, and receive reactions and suggestions from those in attendance. Everyone is invited to take part in the discussions, which are moderated by Mark to keep them constructive.
Check with Mark about requirements.
Our first Studio Night of the season will be focused on getting everyone up to speed on the Studio’s lighting equipment and compiling our Studio Enthusiasts List, ie. those members who are eligible to have access to the club’s gear when they book the Studio for a photo session.
Planning Studio Night activities for the rest of the season is the other major topic to be reviewed during the evening.
Clearly this is a must attend event for all those interested in the Studio.
All members are welcome. No experience necessary!
