On April 27 at 7:30, the Latow Photographers Guild will host Justin Anantawan, a fashion photographer/photojournalist from Mississauga.
Justin will be presenting Every Human Has a Story, an online workshop about documenting people's stories through portraiture. He will talk about his experiences working internationally, photographing various groups such as the LGBTQ community in Jamaica, people living with Albinism in Gambia, HIV+ individuals in Canada and the Deaf community in Kenya. He will cover topics such as finding a story of interest, the ethics of photojournalism, composition, connecting with the subject and how to get published.
Justin hopes that participating in his workshop will help you develop the confidence, empathy and skills needed to create portraits that illuminate the truth of the human condition.
Justin is a contributor for National Geographic Yourshot and has been featured regularly in publications such as One Day in My World, Where Love is Illegal, Vulkan Magazine, Lewis Magazine and Pornceptual. He specializes in portrait photography and has been practicing his craft for over a decade. Justin has photographed in Canada, Gambia, Senegal, Kenya, Hong Kong and Jamaica.
