The History of Image Manipulation
We think of the photographic image over history as a “truthful” representation and the modern digital image as being subject to manipulation, where we can’t tell what is “real.” However, since the dawn of photography, pictures have been altered for a variety of reasons, from advertising to political propaganda and artistic creations. For our January meeting I’ll be looking at how the photographic image has been manipulated from the beginning. Looking forward to seeing you for this unique presentation.
