Date Change for the Donkey Sanctuary Outing–It is Now Sunday May 7, 2017

Our next outing is Sunday May 7, 2017 at the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada located at 6981 Puslinch Conc. 4, R.R.#6 Guelph.

We will meet in the parking lot at 10 A.M. and after a brief a brief orientation by a Donkey Sanctuary person, we will photograph until noon or longer, if desired. There is no entrance fee but all participants should be expected to make a donation to the sanctuary at the entrance.

The mission of the sanctuary is to provide a lifelong home to donkeys, mules and hinnies who are unwanted, neglected or abused, or whose owners can no longer care for them; and to promote the responsible stewardship of all animals through humane education.

There have nearly 100 donkeys, mules and hinnies in their care both at the main Sanctuary Farm and at their Foster Farms.

Outing – Collective Arts Brewing – Sunday March 5 11 A.M..

As a result of the cancellation of the Tiffany Falls outing, due to poor ice conditions, the Outings Committee
has scheduled an outing to the Collective Arts Brewing, located at 207 Burlington Street East, Hamilton.

Collective Arts Brewing is a grassroots craft brewer based in Ontario that aims to fuse the creativity of
craft beer with the inspired talents of emerging artists, musicians and filmmakers.

In addition to opportunities for photography, we will have a tour of the brewery. Highlights will include many
opportunities for graphic and pattern images. Sample images shown below.

We will meet at the entrance at 10:45 a.m. to get organised then start the outing at 11 a.m. sharp.
After photographing 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. approximately, we will meet for social time somewhere nearby--location
to be determined.

The cost for the tour is $10 per person. As this outing will be limited to 15 members, please

Tiffany Falls Outing Cancelled

The outing planned for Saturday February 11 to photograph ice climbing has been cancelled due to poor ice conditions and resulting cancellation of the event by the organizers.  The Outing committee is investigating the possibility of a replacement outing to the Collecctive Arts Brewery in Hamilton. Further details to follow.

Guild Member Outing to Tiffany Falls Saturday February 11 – Ice Climbing Photography

If you have not booked your calendar yet, then please book it now for our next outing to photograph Ice Climbing at Tiffany Falls https://goo.gl/maps/LHZQMc4rzE72 on Saturday February 11, starting at 10 A.M. This will be an opportunity to make some interesting images of this adventure support as well as winter images of the falls. We plan to meet as a group in the parking lot at 10 A.M. and photograph until noon approximately. As it will be cool, you are advised to dress warmly and have footwear appropriately safe for snow and ice.

Valens Conservation Outing Saturday October 22, 2016

Our next outing is scheduled for Saturday October 22 at the Valens Conservation Area, starting at 10 A.M. . Valens Lake Conservation area map directions  The trails and wetland and fall colours should provide us with some great opportunities to make images.  The cost for vehicle and driver is $10.00.   The seniors rate is 8.00$.  We will meet at the base of the Boardwalk Trail--see the image below--at 10 AM, start off as a group then disperse and photograph as desired. For those who would like to meet after for socializing, we will meet at the Tim Horton's at the intersection of HWY 6 and Carlisle Road.
